Spinach - Cabbage Curry


Finely Chopped Cabbage - 2 Cup
Finely Chooped Spinach - 2 Cup
Ginger- 1/2 Tspn
Green Chilly - 2
Lemon Juice - 2 Tspn
Fried Peanut - 1/2 cup
Salt - For Taste
Oil - 2 Tspn
Water - 1/2 Cup
Sugar / Jaggery - 1/4 Tspn

For Seasoning:

Oil - 1/2 Tspn
Jeera - 1/2 Tspn
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 Tspn
Hing - A Pinch


* Make a paste of green chilly and ginger in Mixer.
* Heat oil in a pan and add the green chilly and ginger paste into it . After 15 - 20 seconds add the chopped cabbage and fry this for 5 min in a medium flame.
* Then add Spinach into a pan,and fry for 5 mins. 
* Coarsely pulse the peanuts in a Mixer and add this into spinach and Cabbage fry and fry for couple of minutes.
* Now add the water,lemon juice,salt, sugar/Jaggery, and seasoning., cover and cook for 8- 10 mins..

Akki Hittina Paratha


ಮೈದಾ ಹಿಟ್ಟು - ೨.೫ ಕಪ್
ಎಣ್ಣೆ - ೪ ಚಮಚ
ಉಪ್ಪು - ರುಚಿಗೆ
ನೀರು: ೧/೨ ಲೋಟ


ಅಕ್ಕಿ ಹಿಟ್ಟು - ೧/೨ ಕಪ್
ಹಸಿ ಮೆಣಸು - ೧ ( ರುಚಿಗೆ )
ತೆ೦ಗಿನ ತುರಿ - ೩ ಚಮಚ
ಜೀರಿಗೆ - ೨ ಚಮಚ
ನೀರು - ೨ ಲೋಟ
ಉಪ್ಪು - ೧/೨ ಚಮಚ

ಪ್ಯಾನ್ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ಹಾಕಿ ಕುದಿಸಿ, ಕುದಿಯುವ ನೀರಿಗೆ ಕಡೆದ ತೆ೦ಗಿನ ತುರಿ,ಜೀರಿಗೆ,ಹಸಿ ಮೆಣಸು ಹಾಕಿ ೨ ನಿಮಿಶ ಕುದಿಸಿ.ನ೦ತರ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಕ್ಕಿ ಹಿಟ್ಟು ಹಾಕಿ ಹೂರಣದ ಹದ ಬರುವ ತನಕ ಕದಡಿ.

ಕಣಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂರಣ ಇಟ್ಟು ತೆಳ್ಳಗೆ ಲಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಮಿಡಿಯಮ್ ಫ಼್ಲೇಮ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಯಿಸಿ....

Apple Chutney


Chopped Apple : 1/2 cup ( or 1/2 apple )Methi seeds: 3 to 4
Coconut oil: 2 Tspn
Jeera Powder: 1/2 Tspn
Sugar: 1/2 Tspn
Red Chilley Powder: 1/2 Tspn
Salt: As per taste
Grated Coconut: 5 - 6 Tspns

* Take a pinch of oil and fry the methi seeds(till the colors turns to light brown) and keep it aside.

* Take a 1 Tspn of oil and add grated apple to it.. fry the apple for 2-3 mins in low flame.

* Grind the fried apple,methi seeds,jeera powder,sugar,salt,red chilley powder and coconut together., while grinding add a little amount of water ( Dont add much water )

Apple Halwa


2 grated apples (about 1 cup )
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbl spn ghee (this is just used for aroma, can be omitted if desired)
2 tbl spn chopped or coarsely powdered almonds/Cashews
1/2 tea spn cardamom powder


Peel the apples and grate them.
Heat ghee in a thick bottomed (or non stick) pan. Add the grated apple and fry on a medium flame, till all the water is evaporated and it looks like cooked. It takes about 10mins or so.
Now add the sugar., Cook, mixing occasionally, till the mixture thickens and all the sugar is mixed well with apples. Towards the end, you need to mix continuously, otherwise it sticks to bottom of the pan and gets burnt..
Add the chopped Cashews and mix it... When It Looks very Dry Add the Cardamom Powder and Mix well then switch off the Flame..
Finally Transfer this to a greased(with ghee) plate..

Preparation Time: 25 to 30 Mins..

Sweet N Salt Cookies


All Purpose flour - 1 cup
Sugar - 5 TSP
Salt - 2 Pinch
Unsalted Butter - 3 TSP
Baking Powder - 1/4 TSP
Baking Soda - 1/4 TSP
Water - 3 TSP ( As Required to make a soft Dough )
Jeera - 1 TSP
Ajwaan - 1 TSP
Black Pepper - 1/2 TSP


* Mix All purpose flour,salt,baking powder,baking soda together.
* Mix Butter and sugar together.
* Take a big bowl and mix the both Flour and Butter together.
* Add a crushed Jeera,Ajwaan,and Black pepper into a Big bowl.
* Make the dough as same as Chapati Dough & Keep it aside for 30 - 40 mins.
* Using Chapati Maker, Make a Thick Chapati's from the Dough., And cut the chapathi into your desired shape of cookies.

* Preheat the Oven for 300 F for 10 mins.
* Bake the cookies in a cookie plate for about 8 - 10 mins or till the Golden color.
